Dr. Gregory A. Sand, an international consultant with extensive consumer goods experience and Executive Director of Globalteam, will give a free lecture on social media and the new marketing era.

The event is being organized by the Business Department of Hellenic American College, in cooperation with the Research Institute of Hellenic American University (Manchester, New Hampshire, USA), and will take place on December 17th, at 19:00, in the Auditorium of Hellenic American Union, 22 Massalias Street, Athens.

Dr. Sand's talk arises from a desire to help companies acquire customers, create new business opportunities and build loyalty through the innovative use of information technology. During his lecture, he will focus on describing a holistic ICT-based platform for:

I. the real time aggregation, analysis and intelligent exploitation of consumer insights inside social media and online publications, and

II. the provision of novel structured approaches for translating those insights into ROI positive marketing strategies, and thus accelerating corporate growth.

Dr. Sand has consulted for companies such as Red Bull, Unilever, Carlsberg, Heineken, Guinness, and Coca Cola. He has also served on the faculties of the Management Institute of New York University, the School of Business of Hofstra University, and the Business School of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has given lectures at Cornell University's School of Industrial Labor Relations in the USA; the Ecole Supérieure Libre des Sciences Commerciales Appliqués in Paris, France; University of the Azores, Portugal; and University College Dublin in Ireland.
