Hellenic American College, in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada in Greece, is organizing a public lecture by the renowned physicist Dr. Asimina Arvanitaki on “Novel Directions in the Search for New Physics”.
Dr. Arvanitaki, a native of Greece, is the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Aristarchus Chair in Theoretical Physics at the Perimeter Institute in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She is the first woman to hold a named chair at the Perimeter Institute.
The lecture is the first in a series of actions that Hellenic American College will be taking to promote the involvement of young women in science and technology.
The event will be held on June 27, 2019 at Hellenic American College (Massalias 22, Kolonaki, Athens) in the Kennedy Gallery from 18:00 – 19:00 and is free of charge.
