During the webinar you will learn:  

• How to use active learning as a teaching method to encourage students to participate more actively and assume greater responsibility for constructing their own knowledge. 
• How to better help students practice the skills that are important in their studies and in the real world, such as working in teams, delivering effective presentations, thinking critically, and synthesizing ideas.  
• How to use the Universal Design for Learning Framework to create flexible learning materials and methods for a diverse range of students.  

This webinar is the first in a series of online, public seminars that will be developed and delivered by the Hellenic American University Center of Teaching Excellence . Created in Fall 2021 the Center supports the professional development of teachers through training, mentoring, and consulting services.
