Free webinar on "Learning to Serve: The Principles of Services Marketing"

On Thursday, June 18, from 18:00 to 19:00, Hellenic American College will offer a free webinar on “Learning to Serve: The Basic Principles of Services Marketing”, by Dr. Iliana Katsaridou, adjunct faculty member at Hellenic American University. The workshop, which is open to the public, is being offered as part of the College’s community outreach program.

The service industry nowadays represents the majority of the developed countries' economies, whereas a customer service strategy can help equip an organization with an excellent competitive advantage and protect it from future threats.

The webinar will help participants gain an understanding of the nature of services and will provide an overview of key Marketing concepts particular to services by exploring questions such as:

  • What are the characteristics of services?
  • What are the elements of a services marketing strategy?
  • How are customer expectations formed?
  • How do customers perceive service quality?

Speaker

Dr. Iliana Katsaridou holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow, Scotland and a Maîtrise in Business Administration from the University of Montpellier I, France. She also holds a Master's Degree in Marketing and Communication with New Technologies from the Athens University of Economics and Business and an MBA from the Hellenic Organization of Business Administration. She is currently a Research Fellow in Marketing and Sales Management at Vlerick Business School in Belgium and an Adjunct Instructor at Hellenic American University. Dr. Katsaridou has professional experience in the hospitality industry and in advertising, as well as extensive experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in diverse cultural environments. Her research interests include Services Marketing with a fondness for customer service excellence.
