Ifigeneia Roulia, adjunct faculty member in the M.A. in Translation program, delivered a talk on the translator’s role as an interlinguistic and intercultural mediator at the 1st International Conference Translation and the Language of Tourism, which was held October 21 & 22.
Katerina Anastasopoulou, a student in the M.A. in Conference Interpretating, joined other student interpreters from across Europe in this year’s (remote) Model European Union Strasbourg, where they interpreted speeches, debates, press conferences and meetings that took place during the simulation.

Dr. Alessandra Sax, Director of the Psychology Division, has contributed a chapter on “Adolescent Development: Taking a Closer Look at the Brain and Virtual Educational Learning Experiences” in the recently published Handbook of Research on K-12 Blended Learning and Virtual Learning Through the i2Flex Classroom Model.
Vasiliki Lismani, MAAL-TESOL ‘21, presented at the TESOL Spain 44th Annual Conference on March 14. Her presentation “Using translanguaging to activate students' schemata for the teaching of reading in English as a Foreign Language" was based on her thesis submitted for the MAAL-TESOL program.
