Dr. Kirk Schneider, a prominent representative of existential-humanistic psychology and author of the widely discussed "The Polarized Mind", will deliver a free lecture on Friday, October 10th (19:30 – 21:30) in the Hellenic American Union Auditorium. In his talk, Dr. Schneider will explore the phenomenon of "the polarized mind" and the impact it has had on social problems and political conflict.
The event takes place on the occasion of the Third Alumni Event and the recent Greek translation of the author's book on "Existential-Humanitarian Therapy". The talk is being organized by the Hellenic American University Alumni Association, Hellenic American College and the Hellenic Association for Existential Psychology, "Gignesthai."
Dr. Kirk J. Schneider has published more than 100 articles and written and edited 8 books. In 2004 he received the Rollo May Award by the Division 32 of the American Psychological Association for his independent and exceptional research on the frontier of humanistic therapy.
The talk will be held in English, with simultaneous interpreting into Greek and will be followed by a book signing.
