Duo-ErgOn-aTastOn, a musical duo composed of Tania Sikelianou (violin) and Aggelika Papanikolaou (piano), will present a concert of works for solo and duos by contemporary Greek and foreign composers.
The Music program of Hellenic American College, in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Manchester, NH, USA), and the Greek Composers Union present a concert performed by Duo-ErgOn-aTastOn. The event will be held on Thursday, March 27th 2014, at 20:30, in the Auditorium of the Hellenic American Union, at 22 Massalias Street, Athens.
Duo-ErgOn-a-TastOn was formed in 2012 and consists of Tania Sikelianou (violin) and Aggelika Papanikolaou (piano). It presents works from the international modern repertoire with a compositional as well as performing interest. Various composers create music for this performing duo, which gives, however, priority to the works of Greek composers.
The concert features works by Artur Avanesov, Witold Lutosławski, Olivier Messiaen, Krzysztof Penderecki, Giannis Galitis, Nikolas Sideris and Tania Sikelianou.
