Pianist Vicky Stylianou and soprano Artemis Mpogris will perform a selection of songs from the cycles Roman Agora, Reflections, Blood Wedding, Great erotic, Pornography and Myths of a Woman during a concert dedicated to the memory of Manos Hatzidakis.
The concert, organized by Hellenic American College's Bachelor of Music (BM) Program in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Manchester, NH, USA) and the Greek Composers Union, will be held on Thursday, January 29th 2015, at 20:30, in the Auditorium of the Hellenic American Union, at 22 Massalias Street, Kolonaki.
The lyrics to these songs were written by Hatzidakis himself and by other great artists such as Nikos Gatsos, Michalis Kakogiannis , Myrtiotissa, Giorgos Roussos, Agathi Dimitrouka, Notis Pergialis, Giorgos Emirzas, and Aris Davarakis. The arrangement for voice and piano was realized by Vicky Stylianou. Additionally, selections from the Ionian Suite and For a Little White Seashell will also be performed.
