A concert in honor of Theodoros Antoniou, newly elected member of the Academy of Athens and Director of the Hellenic American University Bachelor of Music program will be held at the Kifissia Cultural Centre on November 21st.
The concert is organized by the "Skironio Museum Polychronopoulos" and the "Skironio Centrum Kifissia-Modern Sculpture Park", in cooperation with Hellenic American College and the Greek Alumni of American Universities and under the auspice of the Municipality of Kifissia.
The event is curated and will be presented by Philippos Nakas Conservatory musicians, who will perform the following works by Theodoros Antoniou:

- Watercolors, for piano solo (1958) (excerpts) – Theodosis Fardis, piano
- 8 Music Images (1953), 2 songs: "Waiting" (M. Malakasis poetry), "The Fairy" (K. Palamas poetry)
- Who took my love (1986) (N. Gatsos poetry) from "The girl of Mani" original soundtrack – Anna Alexopoulou, soprano – Elina Boutieri, piano
- Suite, for guitar solo (1994-95) (excerpts) – Iakovos Kolanian, guitar

Theodoros Antoniou Short Bio
Mr. Theodoros Antonios, composer, conductor, member of the Academy of Athens, and Professor Emeritus of Music at Boston University. has composed over 450 pieces for major orchestras and institutions. He has also composed over 150 music scores for theatre plays. He has collaborated with directors such as Spyros Evangelatos, Alexis Minotis, Karolos Koun and Mihalis Kakogiannis, to name a few. He has conducted numerous orchestras and music ensembles and has received prizes in Greece and abroad. Mr. Antoniou has been president of the Greek Composers' Union since 1989. Mr. Antoniou developed the Hellenic American University's Bachelor of Music program and has served as the programʼs Director since 2006.
