Following the logic of recording and documenting the creative act through photographs, the exhibition “At the Studio” presents the unseen side of the artist’s studio. It captures the artist’s solitary work from the conception of the work of art to the end result, a process often mythologized and hidden from the audience’s view. The exhibition features 36 photographs by Manos Spanos and paintings, etchings and sculptures by 18 contemporary Greek artists. The photographs are exhibited alongside the artworks that the artists were creating during the photoshoot.
Participating artists: Adrianos, Sylvia Antoniadi, Lila Belivanaki, Efthimios Efthimiadis, Kelly, Maria Filippakopoulou, Vicky Georgiopoulou, Antonis Giakoumakis, Christophoros Katsadiotis, Marianna Katsoulidi, Yiorgos Kavounis, Andreas Kontellis, Dimitris Kretsis, Vivi Papadimitriou, Vassilis Selimas, Afroditi Sezenia, Nikos Siskos, Vangelis Theodoridis.
