oli shadowsThis event, titled “Business Model Innovation in Sports Tourism: Analyzing Value Creation through OLI’s Business Model Canvas (BMC)”, will examine the dynamic relationship between industry trends and strategic business design, with a focus on both the practical and theoretical applications of the Business Model Canvas.

The event is organized by Hellenic American College / Hellenic American University in collaboration with OLI Sports Tourism, a leading sports tourism and event management agency in Greece with an international reach, creating tailored sports travel and event solutions for sports teams, academies, schools, companies, and active travelers.

About the Presentation

As sports tourism continues to grow rapidly on a global scale, organizations are challenged to rethink how they create, deliver, and sustain value in an increasingly competitive and experience-driven market.

Drawing on the widely recognized framework developed by Alexander Osterwalder, this presentation will explore how the nine building blocks of the Business Model Canvas can be applied to analyze and innovate within the sports tourism ecosystem.

Participants will gain insights into:

  • Designing compelling and differentiated value propositions
  • Aligning key resources, activities, and strategic partnerships
  • Developing sustainable and adaptable revenue models
  • Responding effectively to evolving consumer expectations and global mobility trends

At the heart of the discussion is business model innovation as a driver of competitive advantage. The session will highlight how organizations can move beyond incremental improvements and reimagine their value creation strategies to unlock new opportunities in emerging and niche segments of sports tourism.

Special emphasis will be placed on:

  • Experiential value and customer engagement
  • Co-creation with stakeholders
  • The integration of local and global networks

Bridging academic insight with real-world application, this session offers valuable perspectives for both professionals and students interested in strategy, tourism, and innovation.
