Harpsichord concert by Giouli VentouraGiouli Ventoura will perform pieces for harpsichord by Greek and American composers on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 20:30 at the Hellenic American Union Theatre, 22 Massalias street, Kolonaki.

Celebrating 100 years since the birth of American composer Lou Harrison, Giouli Ventoura, harpsichordist, will perform for the first time in Greece the work "Six sonatas for harpsichord" (1943) as well as "Little suite" (1958-1959), the first Greek work for harpsichord composed by Giorgos Leotsakos.

In addition to the harpsichord pieces, Efi Dimitrelou (soprano), Ioanna Vrakatseli (mezzo soprano), Natalie Kornilik-Sdrali (violin) and Eleni Skarkou (guitar) will perform chamber music pieces in art songs by Dionissios Solomos, Nikos Gkatsos, Ben Johnson as well as the American poet Ann Sexton composed by Theodoros Antoniou, Pavlos Ventouras, Babis Kanas, Ntinos Konstantinidis, Eleni Skarkou, Theodoros Spathis, Dominick Argento.

The concert is organized by the Bachelor of Music (BM) program offered by Hellenic American College (HAEC) in cooperation with Hellenic American University and the Greek Composers' Union.
