The bilingual art book by Aggelika Korovessi, entitled Time, Form, Concept, was published by Technochoros Art Editions as a follow up to the sculptor’s namesake exhibition at the National Archaeological Museum of Greece (June 2013). Readers of the book, like visitors of the exhibition, engage in a dialog between contemporary sculpture, as expressed in Aggelika Korovessi’s works, and Ancient Greek sculpture. Through mutual references and contradictions a common space of comparison and reflection is created—a conversation embracing themes, concepts, forms and materials that evokes an array of interpretations.
Speaking about the book will be:
- Kostas Kazamiakis (architect and art historian)
- Aggelika Korovessi (sculptor)
- Dimitris Pavlopoulos (Associate Professor of Art History).
Journalist Ioannis Tzimourtas will moderate the discussion.
The event is organized by the Hellenic American College/Hellenic American University in cooperation with the Hellenic American Union and Technochoros Art Editions. The presentation will take place on March 26, 2019, at 19:30, at the Hellenic American Union Theater, 22 Massalias Street, Kolonaki.
The presentation will be conducted in Greek.
Admission is free of charge.
