On October 12, 2017 the Choir of the Municipality of Athens will perform a choral concert entitled “My Lord What a Morning”. The event is organized by the Hellenic American College (HAEC) in cooperation with the Hellenic American University (Nashua, NH, USA) Bachelor of Music (BM) program and the Youth, Sports and Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA).
Traveling through the religious African-American slave songs known as Negro Spirituals and various popular musical songs, the Choir of the Municipality of Athens will perform works by Robert Show, Jester Hairston, John Kander, George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein and Jerry Bock.
