The Choir of the Municipality of Athens will perform a concert entitled “O Primavera”, on May 14, 2018 at 20:00 at the Hellenic American Union Theater, 22 Massalias Street, 2nd floor.
The event is organized by the Hellenic American College (HAEC) in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Nashua, NH, USA) Bachelor of Music (BM) Program and the Youth, Sports and Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA) and is a melodic farewell to spring just before the summer season.
Building on the piece “O Primavera” by Italian composer Claudio Monteverdi (~1567–1643), the Choir will perform works that celebrate nature’s spring renaissance after the winter frost.
During this musical journey, the Choir will perform works by Claudio Monteverdi, Thomas Morley, Claude de Jeune, Àntonin Dvorak, Zoltan Kodaly και Gilbert Bécaud.
