Join us for an engaging research presentation by Travis J. Bristol, Ph.D., Associate Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, who will talk on the educational experiences of marginalized youth in the United States and the parallels shared by marginalized teachers, including persistent inequities across school systems.
Drawing on findings from the Handbook of Research on Teachers of Color and Indigenous Teachers, Dr. Bristol will address the longstanding underrepresentation of these educators and outline evidence-based practices that promote supportive, equitable school environments. Attendees will gain insight into recruitment and retention strategies, the role of minority-serving institutions, and research that bridges scholars, practitioners, and policy leaders.
