Lecture by Robin Riedel, Project Manager at McKinsey & Co at Hellenic American CollegeOn Wednesday, October 29th, Robin Riedel, Project Manager at McKinsey & Co, will deliver a lecture entitled "Working in the World of International Management Consulting". The lecture will give an overview of the management consulting industry and the careers it offers. The event is being organized by the Business Department of Hellenic American College, in cooperation with the Research Institute of Hellenic American University (Manchester, New Hampshire, USA).

The global management consulting industry is currently valued at over € 250 billion and continues to grow and evolve. Large management consultancies have branched out from their roots in strategy into topics such as operations and implementation, and new players are entering the market.

The lecture will outline the players and consultancy models, from individual consultants to large multi-national firms, and explore the kinds of projects they conduct. Mr. Riedel will share his perspective on the benefits and downside of working in the industry, and the trade-offs one needs to keep in mind when thinking about a career in management consulting. The speaker will discuss what applying for a consulting job usually entails and how one can best prepare for the process.

The event will take place on October 29th, from 19:00-20:30, on the 8th floor of 22 Massalias Street.

Robin Riedel – Short Bio

Robin Riedel is a project manager at McKinsey & Co and focuses on advising clients in the airline and aviation industry. In his four years as a consultant, he had the chance to work with dozens of clients of all sizes around the global. Before becoming a consultant, Robin was a senior manager at a major North American airline, and a board member at an aviation technology company. He holds a BSc and MSc in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a licensed airline pilot.
