On January 26th, a concert with works by Alexandra Papastefanou will take place at the Hellenic American Union Theater.
The first part of the concert features parts of "The 12 Minerals" for solo piano, and "Somnium" for chamber orchestra, performed by Grammenos Chalkias (clarinet), Nelly Oikonomidou (violin) and Alexandra Papastefanou (piano).
In the second part, the soprano Daphne Panourgia and Alexandra Papastefanou present parts of the composer's new work, "12+1 Shells and Shadows" for voice and piano, along with songs by Alexandra Papastefanou based on poems of Miltos Sachtouris, Constantine P. Cavafy, Dimitris Kalokyris and Andreas Embirikos, as well as extracts from her older work entitled "Enamel" (Smalto).
The event is being organized by the Bachelor of Music of Hellenic American College (HAEC) in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Manchester, NH, USA) and the Hellenic American Union.
The concert will be held on Thursday January 26th, at 19:30, in the Hellenic American Union Theater, at 22 Massalias Street, Kolonaki.
Admission is free of charge.
