Dr. Kalfopoulou to read at Princeton University and University of Michigan5 September 2014, 12:00 am
Dr. Adrianne Kalfopoulou, Associate Professor in the Bachelor of English Language and Literature (BAELL) program, will be on tour in the U.S. during the month of October reading from her newly published book, Ruin, Essays in Exilic Living (Red Hen Press, 9/2014).
The University visits will include a reading and panel discussion with journalist and poet Eliza Griswold about "Poetry, Crisis, and Journalism" at Princeton University sponsored by the Stanley J. Seeger '52 Center for Hellenic Studies, the Council of the Humanities, and the Writers' Studio at Mathey College. There will also be a reading for the Hellenic Studies Program at New York University sponsored by Liana Theodoratou, and at Central Washington University's English Department.
Dr. Kalfopoulou will also read with David Lazar at Chicago's Women & Children First bookstore, with David Mason in New York at Book Culture, and Alicia Ostriker at Boston Court in Pasadena.
During her visits, Dr. Kalfopoulou will also make available information on the Hellenic American University's Study Abroad program.
