Hellenic American College was proud to participate in the Joint GREENBEAT – METACITIES Autumn School 2025, held on October 14–15, 2025, at the Technical University of Sofia (TUS).

The event brought together around 45 participants from academia, industry, and local authorities—mainly from Bulgaria, but also from across Europe—and proved to be a great success.

Hosted by the Technical University of Sofia (TUS), with the participation of Hellenic American College (HAEC), SmartAvatar B.V., and ICT Cluster (ICTC), the Autumn School provided an inspiring forum for knowledge exchange and collaboration on sustainable innovation and urban resilience.

Representing Hellenic American College were Dr. Pete Tsolis, Director of Business Programs, Dr. Panayotis Kalozoumis, Director of Informatics & Engineering programs, and Didoe Prevedourou, Director of Innovation in ICT.

The two-day program featured two core modules:

  • SDG-Driven Business Models & Resilience Engineering, exploring how the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can drive leadership, business innovation, and systemic resilience in complex environments.
  • Writing Winning Proposals in EU-Funded Frameworks, offering practical guidance on Horizon Europe proposal structures, impact formulation, and effective consortium building.

Participants joined both on-site and online, taking part in interactive workshops, practical sessions, and engaging discussions that bridged sustainability, technology, and policy.

The Autumn School showcased the strong synergy between the GREENBEAT and METACITIES initiatives and reaffirmed their shared commitment—along with partners like Hellenic American College—to advancing resilient and sustainable business models for the future.

We extend its appreciation to all organizers, presenters, and participants for their valuable contributions to this successful event.
