A presentation of the book entitled "Dancing with Mrs. Dalloway - Stories of the Inspiration Behind Great Works of Literature", on the occasion of its publication, will be hosted at the Hellenic American Union Theater (22 Massalias Street, Athens) on November 25th, 2015 at 20:00.
"Dancing with Mrs. Dalloway" offers stories of the inspiration behind fifty classic works, from Jane Eyre and Frankenstein to Anna Karenina and Winnie-the-Pooh. Celia Blue Johnson explores whom Edgar Allan Poe's raven really belonged to, whether Jane Austen's heartthrob Mr. Darcy actually existed, who got into mischief with a young Mark Twain, and what the real Sherlock Holmes did for a living. These delightful stories reveal the often unknown reasons our literary heroes put quill to parchment, pen to paper, or finger to keyboard to create some of the world's best-loved works of fiction and music.
Speaking about the book will be: Neoklis Galanopoulos (Author), Labrini Kouzeli (Journalist) and Efstathia Tsigkanou (Translator).
The event is organized by the Hellenic American Union in cooperation with Hellenic American College (HAEC) and Politropon Publications.
The presentation will be held in Greek.
Admission is free of charge.
