The 2025 Annual Research Conference and Student Achievement Day took place on Wednesday, May 28 at the theatre of Hellenic American Union. More than fifty people—students, faculty, and guests—attended seven talks delivered by graduate and undergraduate students. Subjects spanned several topics offered in the degrees of the university, including informatics, psychology, and linguistics, reflecting the hard and consistent work of our students and faculty. Topics touched upon contemporary issues such as AI, family dynamics, and addictions and offered an engaging and interesting experience for all attendees. This year, for the first time, we decided to merge art and science, and at the end of the conference, we had the chance to enjoy a violin performance by one of our Bachelor of Music students, Theodore Paltoglou.
This year's event was organized by Dr. P. Kalozoumis and Ms. E. Ypsilanti. The student presenters were Sotiria Katara (MSPSY), Aikaterini Zouganeli (MACI), Konstantinos Malekakis (MSI), Rachel Parker (MSPSY), Natalia Emmanouil (PhD), Petr Kostur (BSI), Christopher Aslanidis (BSI), and Theodore Paltoglou (BM).
As usual, the Student Conference was followed by the Campus Compact and President's Awards for academic achievement, where our Provost, Dr. T. Kaniklidou, awarded students and alumni for their academic, professional, and civic achievements.
