The Advanced Diploma in TESOL program is offered online to enable you to develop professionally in the field without having to attend lessons in a traditional classroom. The structure and content of the online program is the same as the Advanced Diploma in TESOL onsite program. The difference lies in the method of delivery of the material.
The Advanced Diploma in TESOL online program is delivered through a specially designed e-learning platform, Blackboard, to which you are given access upon registration. On Blackboard, you are required to contribute to a variety of interactive tasks, such as blogs, wikis, and discussion forums, as well as individual assignments. A new session is uploaded on a weekly basis and you are given about a week to work on it and post your contributions. You also have the opportunity to attend a live synchronous conference once a week with the teacher and fellow participants.
Upon completion of your studies, you are required to sit for a final examination. For Level 5, it comprises two papers, Methodology and Language Awareness. For Level 7, it comprises three papers, Methodology, Language Awareness and Essays.
During your studies, you are guided by a very experienced teacher educator who will provide you with feedback and guidance.
