Following two previous successful events on volunteerism entitled “Care Means Action” and ”The ABC’s of Volunteer Recruitment”, the 3rd volunteerism event entitled “The Student as a Volunteer: Actions & Vision” is being organized so as to familiarize the public with the idea of volunteerism at schools, its potentials, benefits, and possible problems that may arise.

Τhe Psychology Department of the Hellenic American College, in cooperation with Hellenic American University (Manchester, New Hampshire, USA) organizes the 3rd one-day-event for volunteerism entitled “The Student as a Volunteer: Actions and Vision”. The one-day-event will be held on Friday, April 11th, 2014, at the Auditorium of the Hellenic American Union (Massalias 22, Kolonaki) from 11:00 through 18:00.

We invite you to participate in the 3rd one-day-event for volunteerism where you will have the chance to familiarize yourself with the concept of volunteerism at schools, the possibilities and benefits, as well as possible problems that may arise. 

Τhe presenters of the event will be students, Non-Governmental Organizations in which students contribute as volunteers, representatives from public and private schools, school directors, school counselors, members of parents’ associations, professors, parents, teachers, psychologists and representatives from the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. Participants will have the chance to exchange ideas and share their experiences on school volunteerism. The outcome of the event will structure the core objectives for a successful school volunteerism action plan in the future.

The Non-Governmental Organizations that will participate in the event will have the chance to distribute their promotional material to the audience.

The volunteer work that will be presented to the audience will be awarded with honorary prizes.
